Paul Desmond (alto sax), Dave Brubeck (piano), Eugene Wright (bass), Joe Morello (drums).

When Desmond comes in on the ballad "Strange Meadowlark" it's an entrance that rivals any cinematic movie star entrance. Time Out was released in 1959, the same year as Giant Steps (Coltrane), Kind of Blue (Miles), The Shape of Things to Come (Ornette) and Mingus Ah Um (Charles Mingus).

Say what you want about Take Five, it's got a vibe. It became a sleeper hit tune in 1961 and remains the biggest selling jazz single of all time.

Offering two sizes: SMALL 24" x 24" and LARGE 30"x30". (Custom sizes available upon request.)
